How to Connect Speaker to Laptop Using Bluetooth

The connection between Bluetooth Speaker and a computer is a little more difficult than on a smartphone, but in most cases, it is done quickly.

Of course, you should first make sure that your PC or Laptop has a Bluetooth receiver at all.

If not, you don't have to buy a new computer straight away but can upgrade the Bluetooth function using a USB dongle.

When making a new purchase, make sure that the USB stick supports at least Bluetooth 4.0.

You can follow the same steps to connect your Bluetooth headphones with your laptop. If both devices are compatible with each other, they will pair up.

How to connect your Bluetooth Speaker on Windows 7 & 10

1. Open the Bluetooth Settings

Call this up and switch to the "Devices -> Bluetooth" submenu.

4. No sound with Bluetooth connection?

You have connected your Bluetooth headphones but cannot hear anything?
Then you have to tell Windows 10 that it is the new standard device.
This is especially the case if you have connected speakers via HDMI or jack in addition to the Bluetooth audio device. To change that, you have to open the Windows 10 audio menu.

5. Set up the default audio device in Windows 10

6. Remove the connected Bluetooth device
