Step-by-Step Instructions for drawing a present
Step 1- draw a present box: base sketch step by step
A-start by drawingfour dots and keep the two middle dots close together! If these dots are drawn too far apart, you will end up with an "open" square! So be careful.
B-Draw one of your top edges for your cube by sketch four lines across. It doesn't matter which one you draw first. Make sure you draw them parallel with the line on the opposite side of the box.
C -Draw the sides of the cube with two vertical lines. Make sure these lines are drawn straight up and down. And draw the middle line a bit longer this will give the cube three-dimensional shape.
D –Then add the two bottom sides of the box with two parallel lines coming sideways out from the middle line to end up with the two vertical lines on either side of the box. These lines need to be parallel with the top lines
Notice: feel free to use a ruler to keep your drawings from "tilting".
To finish up our present drawing, we need to draw a bow so let's go to do it!
Step-by-Step Instructions for drawing a Bow
Step 2- Draw the outlines of the bow on top of the box
1 – We'll start by drawing a small circle on top of the box but be sure to be under the front corner (not on the center of the top of the box) as shown in the illustration
2 –Draw one side of the bow. Notice the shape of the bow it is look a little like a heart/ valentine shape.
3-Draw the other side of the bow in front of the first one and smaller. Be sure to make it a pretty much higher on the right side and diagonal to the left side
4 -The third shape is the easiest one because you will just curved it between them.
5- Draw the final one by sketch a short line came out from under the second shape, then curved it to end up where is started.
Next draw another curved line but this one will start from the little shape we have drawn and go over the first one the (heart shape) as shown in the example above and don't forget to erase the dotted areas.
Step-by-Step Instructions for coloring the gift
Step 3- Add the details and color
- To finish the drawing clean up your sketch by erasing the extra lines, and dark the outline.
- Notice: you can light the outlines by eraser to make your drawing more realistic.
3-add a thick ribbon as shown in the example above and add some short lines for the inside folds of the bow.
The final step in our "draw a present step by step" tutorial is to colour in the drawing so let's color it in with some nice, bright colors.
To color the gift you will need just four color bright red,
Dark red, yellow and Lime peel or olive. And for the basic colors you should start with light red and yellow. And the two others colors for shading.
4- You could add some patterns or designs to your present or you can even let it without any thing just colored it as you wish.
